Russian investment in US Treasuries rises to $9.3 bln in Aug
WASHINGTON, Oct 17 (PRIME) -- Russia raised investment in U.S. treasury bonds by U.S. $800 million to $9.3 billion in August, as seen by PRIME on Thursday in the data of the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
Of the total, $6.259 billion are long-term bonds and $3.068 billion are short-term bonds.
Japan remained the largest U.S. bondholder with $1.175 trillion, China was the second with $1.103 trillion.
